Rastamaouse attention to detail

Whilst watching Rastamouse, I took some key notes that stood out to me in the cartoon.

  • Bright and colourful scenes, very eye catching, keeps your attention.
  • The cartoon was fast paced, changing location stops the viewer from loosing concentration.
  • Hand drawn backgrounds vector based, lines are not straight (hand drawn)
  • Puppets in the foreground, background is often blurred when focussing on one character talking.
  • Close ups of characters, long distance shots when showing location.
  • Shadows when characters are stood outside, shows that the sun is always shining, blue sky, happy warm feeling.
  • Female rat characters wear dresses or skirts, have colourful bows or ribbons in hair.
  • All rats eyes, whiskers and ears are all the same.
